All Purpose Cleaners

All Purpose Cleaner

Uses:
This powerful all natural cleaner is suitable to clean almost anything including kitchen surfaces, walls, appliances, etc.

Ingredients:
25 drops Lavender
25 drops Rosemary
100mls water

Application:
Shake well before each use. Ideally mix in a spray bottle or poor onto surfaces and wipe.

Caution:
Always test on small surface area first. If pregnant avoid Lavender in first trimester and Rosemary throughout entire pregnancy. Other safe oils to substitute are Lemon, Grapefruit, Lemongrass.

Mould Eliminator

Uses:
To remove mould and most importantly help prevent it from returning. Helps kill the spores that are so dangerous to our health.

Ingredients:
20 drops NZ Manuka
15 drops Cinnamon
15 drops Clove
80mls Water

Application:
Spray/pour and wipe to clean and prevent. Soak trouble spots overnight to kill the spores. May require the addition of baking soda and/or liquid soap if stains are very bad. Always spray again at the end of cleaning to leave some of the solution on the trouble areas.

Caution:
Use gloves as these oils are strong and can cause skin irritation.

(Always test to ensure these oils won't damage your surfaces. I've tried this blend on most surfaces and never had any trouble. But better safe than sorry!).

Furniture Polish

Uses:
Polish for your wood.

Ingredients:
10mls Jojoba
5 drops of Orange or Lemon

Application:
Jojoba is a very rich oil (actually a wax) and gives wood a lovely long lasting shine (and it doesn’t put your health at risk). Simply apply with a cloth as you would a normal wood polish.

Caution:
Always do a patch test on the underside of your wood first.

Room Sprays

Uses:
To help eliminate bad odours, kill germs, and create a desired atmosphere.

Ingredients:
50mls Alcohol (optional, but does help the aroma linger for longer). If not using alcohol double the water quantity.
50mls Water
40-50 drops of your chosen essential oils
Uplifting: Pepper, Grapefruit, Lime, Pine
Germ Free: Manuka, Pine, Lemon
Sharp Thinking: Rosemary, Peppermint, Grapefruit
Happy Family: Lime, Bergamot, Ylang Ylang
Smell Away: Lemongrass, Eucalyptus, Orange

Application:
Spray into rooms. Use smell away in toilets, happy family at dinner parties, sharp thinking in the office, etc…

Caution:
Check if anyone is pregnant before using (see 'Safety with Oil' page to see which oils to avoid if pregnant).

Vacuum

Uses:
Create an aromatic, disinfectant vacuum.  Get rid of bad odours such as pet and/or smoke. Helps deter dust mites and other small insects.

Ingredients:
Aromatic, disinfectant: Lemon, Lavender, Grapefruit.
Bad odours: Eucalyptus, Lemongrass.
Dust Mites: Eucalyptus

Application:
Add 5-10 drops of your chosen essential oil(s) to a tissue and place it on or near the air vent of your vacuum cleaner or place the essential oils onto the exhaust filter.
