Ticks

Uses:
To deter and get rid of ticks

Ingredients:
Lemongrass
Peppermint
Citronella
Lavender for once tick is removed

Application:
Add 20 drops of the above essential oil(s) to 50mls of water or 25mls water 25mls alcohol and spray the animal to deter ticks.
If necessary apply Lavender to the area where the tick was to stop the infection.

Hoof Rot

Uses:
To help heal hoof rot by killing the bacteria.

Ingredients:
NZ Manuka
10mls Calendula
40mls Almond
15 drops Lavender
10 drops Chamomile
5-7 drops Thyme

Application:
The animal must be isolated as this can be highly contagious. Clean the wound thoroughly with a mix of NZ Manuka and Water.
Mix the other ingredients, apply to hoof, cover if possible and leave on overnight. Reapply as needed day and night.

Wounds/Abscesses

Ingredients:
Lavender
NZ Manuka
Calendula, Jojoba, and/or Almond

Application:
Wash wound with water and NZ Manuka, and then apply 7 drops NZ Manuka to 10mls Almond and/or Calendula. Once the wound has started to heal/is not infected use 7 drops Lavender in 10mls Calendula and/or Almond to help healing and hair growth.
