Soothe your throat. Ease your breathing.

Well - my family is currently self isolating with Covid! Oh bother!!

Speaking from experience - a sore throat seems to be one of the most common symptoms of Covid.

So be prepared (if not Covid then a common winter cold is likely to require sore throat remedies).

Essential oils have been used successfully for centuries to help kill germs, reduce inflammation, soothe and speed up healing.

Here are a few oils you might like to have on hand.

Eucalyptus essential oil

New Flash: Even the NZ Herald recommended stocking up on Eucalyptus in preparation for self-isolation (January 22 2022). A versatile oil that can be used as part of your deep Covid household clean or in a vaporiser/diffuser for the antibacterial and antiviral properties. Eucalyptus is often used as an antiseptic to treat colds, sore throats, and coughs. Eucalyptus essential oil components have also been found to have antibacterial activity against some drug-resistant bacteria.

OIL APPLICATIONS

For information on how to use these oils see our Oil Application page. We would recommend Vaporiser/Diffuser, Direct Inhalation, Massage/Rub around your chest and/or Steam Inhalation as particularly effective applications for a sore throat.
